'''Professor Skissue''' is a symbolic title passed down to those who are worthy of protecting the world from [[Skissue|Skissues]]. The current incarnation of Professor Skissue is [[Professor Edward Skissue VI]], after [[Professor Edward Skissue V]] died in an unfortunate incident involving a [[well]]. The Professors Skissue are tasked with mitigating Skissues by channeling as many as possible to themselves, thus preventing the world from being overrun with them.

== History ==
The title of Professor Skissue was created in 1824 after [[Toby Fox]] [[1824 in video games|time travelled]] back there to release [["UNDERTALE"]], circumventing the effects of the release of [[Bart Bash]] in 1972. A council of concerned citizens who witnessed him discovered that this event of time travel released a fountain of Skissues into the world, which threatened to quickly take over if nothing was done. All those who take on the title of Professor Skissue are required to change their legal name to "Edward Skissue" in order to preserve the lineage, due to a typo in the Skissue Foundation's formation documents. This typo is widely believed by historians to be the first Skissue absorbed by the Professors.

The first Professor Skissue, Professor Edward Skissue I (born 1799), elected himself to fill the position, as nobody else wanted it. Unfortunately, after stepping out of Skissue Headquarters for the first time under the new title, he was struck by lightning and incinerated.

Professor Edward Skissue II (born 1780) was chosen by his peers to be the second Professor Skissue after witnessing Professor Edward Skissue I get incinerated. In comparison to his predecessor, Professor Edward Skissue II had a long and healthy life, dying in 1855 of a heart attack after miscounting the number of steps on his home's staircase and stepping down further than he expected.

Professor Edward Skissue III (born 1832) was selected in Professor Edward Skissue II's will to be his successor in the role. At first, he was reluctant to accept, but soon grew into his new position. In 1899, he purchased a brand new Fiat 4 HP, the first car manufactured by the company. Unfortunately, shortly after getting in it for the first time and driving away, the car's accelerator pedal became stuck on the floor, causing him to drive off of the side of a bridge into a river, where he drowned as he did not know how to swim.

=== Professor Edward Skissue IV ===
Professor Edward Skissue IV's time as Professor Skissue is not well documented, as the Skissue Foundation has destroyed all documentation related to him from their internal archives. His tenure as Professor Skissue ended in 1946, leading to speculation that he may have been responsible for the two biggest Skissues of the early 20th century.

Professor Edward Skissue V (born 1925) is notable for being the first, and so far only, Professor Skissue to bequeath the role to somebody else without first dying. He passed the role down to Professor Edward Skissue VI on 29 December, 1999. Unfortunately, Professor Edward Skissue VI didn't get the letter until a few hours after the transferral deadline, and in the interstitial time, Professor Edward Skissue V was mysteriously sucked into a well, where he broke his neck and died upon hitting the bottom.

Professor Edward Skissue VI (born 1961) is the current living incarnation of Professor Skissue, In September of 2001, he purchased a used pink [[Volvo 240]] estate, after thorough research performed by his predecessors resulting in the discovery that it is the only model of automobile strong enough to withstand the power of the Skissues. Unfortunately, in a moment of extremely poor timing, as he was concentrating on the paperwork, reading all of the fine print properly, [[9/11|a Boeing 767 impacted the World Trade Center]] due to him not focusing on preventing Skissues at the time.
