Due to the album's content being embedded in everybody's minds from birth, people who do not enjoy it must either purchase or pirate a copy, and listen to it enough times to remove it from their minds. This has been deemed by many as the ultimate [[Capitalism|capitalistic]] trick to force more people to buy the album than if it was made with regular music.

== Imitations ==
Due to being the world's most listened-to album, there have been many attempts to recreate -thriller's greatness. In 1982, after receiving a copy through an [[Oopsie|accidental]] occurrence of [[time travel]], [[Michael Jackson]] became the only person of the time period with innate knowledge of the songs within. This caused him to release a copy album called Thriller, made with regular music, which would go on to sell at least five copies and earning him worldwide recognition. Due to -thriller's properties, anybody listening to it to compare the two albums would simply forget it existed, which is why this blatant copyright violation has gone unpunished.
