Boxing is a competitive combat [[Sports|sport]], in which participants take turns attempting to incapacitate their opponent by shoving a person sized box over their head. The sport dates back to 1837 when the creator of boxes, [[Cornelius Greene-Boxherty|Cornelius Darragh Greene-Boxherty]], was found to have been murdered in his lab by being shoved head first into a box lined with razor blades. For some reason the gruesome acts surrounding his death became popular as a pub-sport<ref>A Pub-sport is a type of sport only performed in pubs and clubs. They were often sized in a way that they could be played around tables.</ref>, minus the blades, and over time caught on as a normal sport. Later in 1919, the sport was officially recognized as an [[Olympics|Olympic]] sport.
