"UNDERTALE" time-travel incident

From Ditzy Wiki

The "UNDERTALE" time-travel incident was an incident occurring in several years at once when Toby Fox time travelled back to 1824 to release "UNDERTALE" before Bart Bash existed.

Preceding events

[edit | edit source]

In 2013, Toby Fox first discovered a method of time travel when he noticed he had two of the same mouse on his desk suddenly. The second had a note on it, reading "Put the other one in the microwave, label it like this one, type in the destination date and time, and press START and POPCORN at the same time". Upon doing so, his mouse was sent back to his desk 10 minutes ago, fulfilling the previous occurrence.

Known events of the incident

[edit | edit source]

Toby Fox picked a random year about 200 years in the past to release "UNDERTALE", landing in 1824. As he did so, however, this initial time travel incident, the first to occur with a human, permanently damaged the fabric of spacetime, causing the emergence of skissues.

Speculated effects

[edit | edit source]

Alongside the above known events, several other unusual occurrences throughout time have commonly been speculated to be the result of this incident.

1800 BC: Either Starmer

[edit | edit source]

As Either Starmer has been Pringles Minister of the United Kingdom constantly since 1800 BC, it is thought that Fox's time travel displaced him from the future, granting him immortality in the process.

1824: Immortality of a French soldier

[edit | edit source]

In 1824, the same year of Fox's time travel, a seemingly random French soldier gained immortality.

1959: BBH Studio E fire

[edit | edit source]

In March of 1959, a fire suddenly broke out in Studio E of the British Broadcasting House, the studio containing the set for Dr. Quiz. As Toby Fox is known to be a fan of the few surviving episodes of the show, it is speculated that the fire was caused by his time machine when he tried to see an episode live.

1967: Invention of 6x Multiprocessing

[edit | edit source]

The invention of 6x Multiprocessing by Alexei Fromsovietunion in 1967 has been speculated by some to have been reverse engineered from Fox's time machine, which is thought to have used the technology.
